Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an LTCR Inspector in Lubbock to conduct on-site inspections and investigations of Long-Term Care facilities, focusing on abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The Inspector will write concise reports, testify as needed, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires a four-year degree (preferred) and strong knowledge of state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
• Experience conducting investigations preferred.
• Ability to interpret local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections and investigations including abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Prepare written reports detailing deficiencies and remedial actions.
• Testify at hearings or court proceedings regarding findings and compliance.
• Travel up to 80% statewide; on-call duties as required.
