Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking a LTCR Inspector to conduct on-site inspections and investigations at Long-Term Care facilities across Texas, including cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The Inspector will prepare detailed reports and may testify at hearings.

Position requires up to 80% travel, variable hours including evenings/weekends, and provides strong state benefits, pension, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program area.
• Ability to conduct inspections and investigations to determine compliance.
• Experience preparing clear, well-documented reports and findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections and investigations at LTCR facilities.
• Investigate abuse, neglect, and exploitation and document findings with narratives.
• Testify at hearings or court proceedings regarding inspection findings and compliance.
• Travel up to 80% across regions of Texas.
• Prepare and review corrective action plans and coordinate with providers for remediation.
