Job summary

West Bend is seeking a Loss Control Representative to join our growing team. You will conduct risk assessments, service to accounts, and work with underwriters and agents to secure new business across Grand Rapids, MI and the northern regions.

The role is field based with a home office setup and occasional weekend trainings. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in safety, strong communication, and a relevant degree plus professional designations such as CSP, ARM, or CPCU.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in safety and health.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proven interpersonal, presentation, marketing, oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving, critical thinking, active listening, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Risk Management, loss control, insurance or related field.
• Designation in safety, health or insurance (CSP, ASP, ARM, CRM, CIC, CPCU, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite risk assessments for accounts.
• Provide risk analysis and service plans to clients.
• Consult with underwriters on risk acceptability.
• Deliver verbal and written correspondence to underwriters.
• Develop and deliver training presentations to business clients.
• Build relationships with agents and secure new business.
• Manage a field territory and travel as required.
