Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking an entry-level Lighting Technician C to install and maintain street lighting from aerial devices, ladders, and ground level. You will work on lighting power supply installations and support a higher-level technician in construction and maintenance tasks.

The role involves working around traffic, potential flagging certification, and occasional out-of-state storm work.

Qualifications

• Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications obtained during career.
• Must understand working with energized high voltage systems.
• Ability to climb different structures and operate related tools.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Excavates to assist in installation of structures or cables per contract specs.
• Communicates work with public/private property owners.
• May require flagging certification due to road/traffic exposure.
• Works on elevated surfaces and lighting power supply installations.
• Assist higher-level technician in lighting construction and maintenance.
• Safely work with voltages up to 600V with minimal oversight.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
