Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an electrical lighting technician to perform maintenance, bulb, ballast, and driver replacements on existing fixtures.

You will work from aerial lifts and interface directly with customers, dispatch daily to sites, and uphold safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining lighting components; installing controls and sensors; and documenting work on mobile devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Reliable Transportation
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
• Must be committed to excellence and generate high quality work.
• Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.
• OHSA 10 (preferred)

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for electrical lighting maintenance scope which will include changing bulbs, ballasts, and drivers on existing lighting fixtures.
• You will be working from aerial lifts in most cases and be a direct interface with our customers.
• You will be dispatched daily to customers and be responsible for resolving the customers lighting problems in the highest professional and safe manner.
• You will complete all site documentation on an electronic device which will require knowledge of current smart phone / personal tablet technology.
• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic lighting components.
• Installing and mounting lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
• Safe operation of aerial lifts and bucket trucks.
• Testing lighting systems and continuity of circuits in fixtures, using testing devices.
• Diagnosing malfunctioning lighting systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
