Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks an Associate Construction Project Manager – Transmission Line to support planning, organizing, and executing transmission line projects.

You will work under supervision, coordinating with field crews, engineers, and vendors to ensure safety, scheduling, and cost control. The role requires strong communication, willingness to travel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/PM or related field.
• 0–3 years of related experience in transmission line or heavy civil construction.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for long-term onsite projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of estimating software is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Develop and track project performance metrics, budgets and cost controls.
• Assist with cost tracking, labor tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate with field crews, foremen, subcontractors, engineers, and utility reps.
• Support material procurement, submittals, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with subcontractor management and contract compliance.
• Maintain project documentation including cost reporting, billing, scheduling, budgeting.
• Assist with federal/state agency correspondence and reporting.
• Participate in construction-related meetings.
• Assist in proposal preparation, estimating, quantity take-offs.
• Provide onsite administrative and project support on long-term assignments.
• Assist with change management, productivity tracking, and project closeout.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
