Job summary

QE Solar, in partnership with Quercus, seeks a Vegetation Field Coordinator to lead field operations at utility-scale solar sites across the Midwest. You will oversee mowing, trimming, herbicide application, site inspections, and small crews while maintaining safety and quality in outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, equipment operation, and effective communication with supervisors and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with outdoor field operations and safety.
• Ability to learn native/invasive plant species.
• Experience with GPS tools and mobile apps (e.g., OnX).
• Strong leadership and communication under varying field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead vegetation crews and conduct safety briefings.
• Perform mowing, trimming, herbicide application, and site inspections.
• Operate trucks, trailers, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment, report progress, and adjust plans as needed.
