Job summary

Buckley Cable Construction is seeking an experienced Field Construction Supervisor to lead Metro-E/SMB and fiber projects in the Miami and West Palm Beach markets. You will manage field crews, schedule work, and ensure safety and quality on active telecom buildouts.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, clear communication with customers and subcontractors, and the ability to keep projects on track from kickoff through activation. Travel within the assigned markets is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of telecommunications construction experience preferred.
• Previous experience supervising telecommunications construction crews strongly preferred.
• Experience with Metro-E, commercial fiber, SMB, HFC, coax, fiber optic construction, or outside plant construction preferred.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily field schedule for assigned Metro-E and SMB projects.
• Assign work to in-house technicians, construction crews, subcontractors, and splicers.
• Hold technicians and crews accountable to committed construction dates.
• Develop weekly construction schedules based on project priorities and available resources.
• Confirm crews have the necessary prints, materials, equipment, permits, access information, and job details before dispatch.
• Track scheduled versus completed work each day.
• Identify reasons for missed dates and develop recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project Managers regarding priorities and field issues.
• Ensure each active project has a defined next step, responsible party, and date.
