Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) in Utah is seeking a FT Research Staff - Field Manager for Plant & Wildlife Sciences at the Utah Test and Training Range. The role focuses on wildlife monitoring, data collection, and supervising 3–5 seasonal field crews during summer data collection.

The successful candidate will work closely with USFWS and UTTR managers, develop natural resource management plans, and analyze datasets to support restoration and conservation efforts in the UTTR region.

Qualifications

• BS with emphasis in Wildlife Management, range management, ecology, or related field required.
• MS in this or a related field preferred.
• Experience monitoring plant and animal populations and collecting quantitative data.
• Experience leading field crews is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise field crews (3–5 seasonal employees) during summer data collection.
• Collaborate with USFWS and UTTR managers and field crews.
