Job summary

Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, is seeking a FT Research Staff - Field Manager for the Utah Test and Training Range. You will supervise 3-5 seasonal crews this summer and coordinate with USFWS and UTTR managers to collect natural resources data.

Required BS in wildlife management or related field; MS preferred. Experience identifying species, monitoring populations, and developing management plans is essential.

Qualifications

• Monitor plant and animal populations in UTTR.
• Identify UTTR species and collect/analyze quantitative datasets.
• Write natural resource management plans and analyze datasets.
• Collect field data such as small mammals, birds, vegetation; monitor large mammals.
• Experience leading field crews is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 3–5 seasonal field crews during summer.
• Coordinate closely with USFWS and UTTR managers and field crew.
