Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Lead Planner to join our vegetation management team in an outdoor, fast-paced setting. Independence and safety are essential as you drive vegetation plans and ensure high-quality service for utility clients.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of UVM/Forestry experience (Line Clearance preferred) and strong communication and leadership skills. MS Office and GIS familiarity are desirable in this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years UVM or Forestry experience. Line Clearance experience preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors, in varying weather and terrains.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, smartphones).
• Ability to train and lead vegetation management operations.

Responsibilities

• Improve safe and reliable electric service delivery to the public.
• Inspect utility easements and prescribe vegetation management actions.
• Coordinate with landowners and stakeholders to develop vegetation plans.
• Ensure crews follow proper safety and arboricultural practices.
• Address customer concerns related to vegetation near easements.
• Coordinate with engineers to assist with upgrades and new construction.
• Provide QA/QC inspections on completed vegetation work.
• Lead and train team members and provide weekly progress reports.
