Job summary

Big-D Mission Critical is seeking a Low Voltage & Controls Superintendent to oversee field execution for hyperscale data centers and related digital infrastructure. The role involves coordinating low voltage systems, controls, and integrated technology from installation through startup and turnover.

The position can be based in Reno, NV or in a traveling capacity, requiring leadership across multiple teams and vendors to meet safety, quality, and schedule milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10+ years of construction experience with field leadership on data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Experience as a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role.
• Ability to read plans, specs, drawings, and coordination models.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, QA/QC, and turnover requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution for low voltage, controls, and tech scopes.
• Drive safety, pre-task planning, LOTO, and energized-work controls.
• Coordinate structured cabling, BAS/BMS, and security interfaces.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, life safety, IT, and commissioning teams.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and coordination models for constructability.
• Build and manage lookaheads and turnover milestones.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and as-built information.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and partners.
