Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Industrial Construction (MAIC) seeks a Lead for High-Impact Piping and Equipment Installations in Glen Burnie, MD to guide field crews on complex piping and equipment installs for demanding industrial projects.

You will mentor craftsmen, ensure quality, and align work with engineered plans across food-grade plants and heavy facilities. Travel up to 40% and a four-day work week with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory leadership within industrial construction trades.
• Experience routing and installing process piping in active industrial environments.
• Hands-on proficiency with butt weld and socket weld systems up to 8 inches.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from P&IDs, plan views, and isometric drawings.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• U.S. citizenship or green card verification.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Flexibility to travel up to 40% and work nights/overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate field crews of 3–10 workers to execute high-quality process industrial work.
• Coordinate daily with project engineers and superintendents to map out precise weekly tasks.
• Direct the installation of process equipment, steel platforms, and utility piping systems.
• Track project hour budgets and report out-of-scope changes promptly.
• Verify field fabrications and installations align with engineered plans and specs.
• Maintain daily documentation and lead weekly safety meetings.
