Job summary

Newcomb and Company is seeking a Commercial/Industrial Piping Project Manager / Field Construction Manager. The role oversees HVAC and process piping installations, coordinating field crews and supporting material supply to maintain productivity and schedules.

75%+ time in the field, with focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating with project executives, managing costs, and ensuring installations meet plans, specs, and manufacturer instructions.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of HVAC hydronic piping and equipment.
• Experience planning and supervising field crews on piping installations.
• Ability to monitor costs and schedules to meet estimates.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with project executives and notify changes or issues early.
• Quantify, order, and purchase piping materials to stay on schedule and budget.
• Review plans, submittals, and shop drawings for accuracy and use in the field.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings and submittals not handled by leadership.
• Attend job meetings and communicate status and schedule changes to teams.
• Schedule deliveries with stakeholders and supervise on-site activities.
• Assist with change orders, progress billings, and project closeout documents.
• Walk projects weekly to ensure top-quality installation per plans and manufacturer instructions.
