Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to manage field activities, support preconstruction planning, and work with project teams to deliver high-quality, on-time results.

You will collaborate with project managers, supervise trades, and ensure safety and efficiency across all site operations. A relevant degree and strong communication are essential for success in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; basic project software experience.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction planning: attend post-award meetings and assist with planning before work begins.
• Project scheduling: develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
• Field leadership: oversee daily activities to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Subcontractor coordination: manage subcontractor activities and ensure cross-trade coordination.
