Actalent seeks a Land Surveyor / Instrument Operator in Chantilly, VA to join a field surveying team supporting roads, bridges, and site development projects. You will establish stakeouts, recover corners, and operate Trimble/Leica equipment in outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes accurate data collection, safety, and collaboration with the Survey Party Chief across various project sites in Virginia and surrounding states.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of surveying experience preferred.
• Experience with land surveys for roads, bridges, and buildings.
• Ability to operate surveying equipment and record data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist Survey Party Chief with field surveys and data collection.
• Establish and re-establish construction stakeout lines and property boundaries.
• Set and mark stakes per project specs; operate survey equipment in the field.
• Load and maintain field equipment; download data and prepare basic reports.
