Job summary

Control Point Associates is seeking an experienced Instrument Operator for our Virginia Beach, VA team. The role involves performing field surveying, including boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeouts, and 3D laser scanning, using Trimble/Spectra/Leica total stations, data collectors, and GPS RTK units.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience, a High School Diploma, and strong math/computer skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of boundary/topographic/ALTA surveys experience.
• Experience with robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS RTK.
• High school diploma; strong math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveying including construction stakeout and various surveys using total stations, data collectors, GPS, and 3D laser scanners.
• Conduct field calculations and sketches; verify data accuracy in survey documents.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles and ensure safe, secure setup.
• Represent the brand professionally when on site and communicate with customers.
