Job summary

Klaasmeyer Construction Company is seeking a Laborer to support Field Operations in the Mid-South. You will assist excavation and trenching teams, hand-dig near underground utilities, install conduit, and restore sites after completion.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and safety awareness; valid driver's license is required. Travel locally and regionally may be needed; OSHA 10 and Flagger certification are a plus or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform sustained hard physical labor in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full shifts.
• Valid driver's license required; OSHA 10 and Flagger certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Hand digging around existing underground utilities in congested areas where the excavator can't go
• Potholing to expose and verify utility locations before the Equipment Operator gets close
• Laying and installing conduit and innerduct - fittings, couplings, grade, and alignment
• Backfilling, compacting, and restoring the ground surface to pre-construction condition
• Spotting equipment, setting up traffic control, and supporting the crew throughout the day
