Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician II to support field operations in Laporte or Granger, Indiana. You will perform field and lab testing of concrete, soils, and asphalt per ASTM, AASHTO, and project requirements; collect and transport samples; operate testing equipment; and prepare comprehensive field documentation.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in CMT, ACI certifications, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction materials testing, inspection, or related field.
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I and ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
Able to work outdoors in varying weather and lift 60 pounds routinely.
Reliable, punctual and able to work weekends and occasional night shifts.

Responsibilities

Perform field and lab testing of concrete, soils, and asphalt per ASTM, AASHTO and project requirements.
Collect, label, and transport samples for laboratory analysis.
Operate and maintain field and lab testing equipment (slump cones, air meters, nuclear density gauges).
Prepare accurate field documentation including reports, data sheets, photos and sample logs.
Communicate test results and observations with project managers, contractors, and supervisors.
Follow safety policies and PPE requirements and support field assignments as needed.
