Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.- GTX is seeking a Journeyman Serviceman based in Cleveland, TX. The role involves installing and removing meters, services, and equipment for customers, plus connecting/disconnecting at the pole and troubleshooting transmission and distribution systems.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of related experience or crew lead training, completion of 700 level certification, and a solid grasp of safety rules, emergency response, and reading electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Must have worked for at least 6 months or crew lead training as Journeyman Lineman or equivalent experience.
• Completion of 700 level certification.
• Know Company's safety rules and be able to administer first aid and resuscitation.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove electric meters, services and related equipment on customers' premises.
• Connect and disconnect services at the pole and locate/repair breaks in transmission and distribution systems.
• Trace, clear grounds and opens on series circuits; test, switch and inspect automatic voltage regulating devices.
• Follow Safety Action Plan (SAP) and adhere to company rules and state regulations.
