Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a field electrical technician to provide general electrical support for Reserve Power applications across telecommunications, IT, UPS, and utilities. You will install, repair, and test live systems, ensuring safety and adherence to customer standards.

The role involves traveling 50-75% to regional sites, coordinating with project management, and delivering high-quality service while supporting sales opportunities and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Journeyman Electrical Card required.
• Must have or be able to obtain state electrical license.
• Demonstrated reading of electrical designs and schematics.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Replaces or repairs equipment and brings installations into quality and safety compliance.
• Oversees installation and transition of live critical load panels for IT networks.
• Works on live energized systems for power distribution and critical infrastructure.
• Performs testing and turn-up of emergency backup power systems and generators.
• Maintains project time/expense reporting and interfaces with area manager and customers.
