Job summary

AMG Tech Support is seeking skilled, driven technicians to support our growing national client base. This hands-on role goes beyond basic helpdesk tasks—one day you might install an OS, the next you’re drilling through walls and running structured cabling across entire buildings, or terminating a 66-block.

You will operate as a 1099 contractor, paid hourly on site, with travel pay within an approx. 80‑mile radius.

Qualifications

• 1 year IT/Telecom experience and one of A+ or Network+ or 5+ years field experience in IT/Telecom
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Must have a standard set of IT and networking tools (e.g., screwdrivers, cable testers, crimpers)
• Laptop with Ethernet port and smartphone with mobile hotspot

Responsibilities

• OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup
• Structured cabling (drilling, running, dressing cables)
• Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions)
• Work independently across environments: retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate
• Be on call and ready to respond to service requests within territory
