Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking an IT Field Operations Technician to install, maintain, and support Micro Market, Vending, Cafeteria, and OCS technology in the Decatur area. The role emphasizes field service, independent troubleshooting, and strong customer support.

You will work with kiosks, cameras, DVRs, wireless devices, and networking gear, ensuring reliable operation and documenting configurations while traveling locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of networking, cabling, and retail technology systems.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, networking, and wireless connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and travel locally/regionally.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support kiosks, camera systems, DVRs, wireless devices, and networking equipment for Micro Market locations.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, wireless systems, and retail technology hardware.
• Configure customer network connections and coordinate with customer IT teams when necessary.
• Complete technical service calls and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor active locations through software portals to ensure systems remain operational.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installed equipment, wireless devices, and network configurations.
• Process warranty claims, parts replacements, and equipment returns.
• Assist with site surveys and new account installations.
