Job summary

State of Maine Judicial Branch is seeking an entry-level IT Field Technician to support desktops, laptops, and office software for judicial staff. This role covers user support, imaging, and software provisioning, with travel to courthouses statewide.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of PC support experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently with training. Vehicle operation and off-hours response are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technology certification is required; experience may substitute degree.
• 1–3 years of PC/device support in an enterprise environment preferred.
• Experience with videoconferencing and AV equipment is a plus.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop/laptop support across multiple operating systems.
• Support VOIP desk-sets and LAN/WAN networks; troubleshoot network issues.
• Imaging, deploying, and software provisioning; remote access support.
• Assist with help desk tickets and IT training for staff.
• Maintain AV equipment and support videoconference systems.
