Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated Field Interviewers to conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews for MEPS, with travel to training and assigned households. The role is part-time with two yearly data collection periods and potential overnight travel.

You will transmit data daily, follow strict confidentiality, and report to a field supervisor. Hours are mostly evenings and weekends; some rounds include breaks between data collection periods.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based home study and Teams sessions in early January 2027.
• Travel to mandatory in-person training in January 2027 and to assigned households.
• Post-training web-based and virtual training activities are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households, set appointments, and complete interviews with signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily and maintain data security and confidentiality requirements.
• Travel to local and occasional long-distance households, including overnight stays when needed.
