Job summary

The U.S. Census Bureau in Salt Lake City area seeks a Field Representative to support current survey operations. Your home will be your Duty Station, and you will travel throughout your local area to administer surveys and collect data.

You will conduct interviews in person, sometimes by phone, explain survey purposes, enter responses into a laptop, and complete required training. This is a confidential federal role with travel and payroll duties.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel locally throughout the assigned area.
• Ability to explain survey purpose and ask questions as written.
• Experience collecting data via interviews or surveys is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts interviews in person (door to door) and may conduct phone interviews as required.
• Communicates with respondents, supervisors, and others as appropriate.
• Enters accurate data into a laptop or survey forms.
• Maintains payroll records of hours, miles driven, and travel reimbursements.
• Completes and attends required training, in person or online.
