Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to work as Field Interviewers for the MEPS program in the Virginia Beach area.

FIs conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews, travel to training in January 2027, and may travel to local or long-distance households. This is a part-time, year-round position with two data collection periods and potential overtime; health insurance is not initially available.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Have required web-based and in-person training availability.
• Have a valid driver's license and own vehicle with sufficient insurance.
• Be able to travel to training and field locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households via in-person visits or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Schedule appointments, complete interviews, and collect and submit signed documents.
• Transmit data daily and follow data-security and confidentiality requirements.
