Job summary

Sempra Infrastructure Partners, LP is seeking an Instrument Technician to inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems across field sites. You will work with P&ID’s, calibration tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure reliable control of process variables.

The role requires strong hands-on skills, safety awareness, and the ability to support commissioning and field operations. Expect routine field work and potential overtime to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typically 5 years of related experience in instrumentation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, repair and calibrate process automation equipment.
• Read and interpret P&ID’s and loop drawings to determine installation requirements.
• Support commissioning activities and field walkdowns.
• Perform regular PM testing and inspections.
• Ensure instrument performance meets ISA, API and NEC standards.
• Document work performed and maintain records in electronic systems.
