Job summary

ISC Constructors LLC seeks an experienced Instrument Technician to join our maintenance-focused team. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair process instruments as part of our comprehensive industrial services.

The role requires 4+ years of craft experience and an Associate's degree in Instrumentation, with familiarity in valve maintenance, sensors, and PLC-related tasks. We offer strong wages, a full benefits package, and opportunities across multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• 4+ years craft-specific experience.
• Associate's degree in Instrumentation.
• Ability to pass NCCER Written Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as part of the facility’s maintenance program.
• Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments.
• Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks, and controllers, transducers, and valves in service.
• Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls.
• Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses.
• Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as PLC systems.
• Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination.
• Perform field calibration of electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders in service.
• Read, understand, correlate, and trouble-shoot from one-line schematics and ladder diagrams.
• Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester.
• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations.
