Job summary

Advanced Process Technologies, Inc. (APT) is seeking a Field Installer to perform on-site installation of APT systems and equipment at customer locations. You will work alongside experienced Foremen, gaining hands-on experience in the food and dairy industry.

The role involves strict 100% travel across the U.S. and North America with a typical rotation of 9 days on and 5 days off. A welding background and ability to read technical drawings are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret P&ID and equipment layout drawings.
• Experience with sanitary stainless steel tubing installation and welding.
• 2 years welding experience or completion of a welding program.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Install Stainless Steel equipment and sanitary tubing.
• Read and interpret P&ID and equipment layout drawings.
• Take measurements to fit pipe and set equipment.
• Set up and adjust welding & purge equipment to perform high quality sanitary / purge welds for the specific application.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts.
• Use rigging tools such as jacks, chain falls, dollies and straps.
• Operate a variety of grinders & saws to prepare, clean and finish welds.
• Assemble components using a variety of powered and hand tools.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
