Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites, install, commission, repair, and troubleshoot dispensing and process equipment used in fluid and material processing applications.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, clear communication, and the ability to work independently with up to 50% travel. You will support FAT, lab trials, and remote technical support while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on experience with machines involving hydraulics, pumps, fluid systems, dispensing, and pressure control.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and fluid systems.
• Mechanical aptitude including motors, gearboxes, and power transmission components.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• PLC / HMI knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to new environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, commission, test, and validate equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Test completed systems before shipment to verify performance and compliance.
• Support FAT and application lab trials.
• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation and drawings.
• Provide remote technical support to customers.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and service teams.
• Provide feedback on equipment performance and customer needs.
