Job summary

Ohio Transmission Corporation is seeking a Field Installation Manager to coordinate the field installation of DirectAIR compressed air systems from shipment through customer acceptance. You will be the primary contact for installation activities, ensuring safety, on-schedule delivery, and adherence to budget and customer expectations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in a related field (or equivalent) and 5+ years coordinating industrial installations, subcontractors, and customer-facing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years coordinating industrial equipment installations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and customer-facing projects.
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical installation practices.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate field installation projects from shipment to customer acceptance.
  • Schedule installations, site readiness, deliveries, and milestones.
  • Serve as primary customer contact during the installation phase.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Monitor progress and resolve installation issues to minimize delays.
  • Coordinate startup, commissioning, punch list, and closeout.
  • Partner with Project Managers for smooth transition from manufacturing to field execution.
  • Review costs, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Ensure safety standards and customer site requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation and communicate status to stakeholders.

Field Installation Manager
Position Summary

The Field Installation Manager is responsible for coordinating the successful field installation of DirectAIR compressed air systems from shipment through final customer acceptance. This role serves as the primary point of contact for installation activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations.

What You'll Do
  • Manage field installation projects from equipment shipment through customer acceptance.
  • Coordinate installation schedules, site readiness, equipment deliveries, and project milestones.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact during the installation phase.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve installation issues to minimize schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate startup, commissioning, punch list completion, and project closeout.
  • Partner with Project Managers to ensure a smooth transition from manufacturing to field execution.
  • Review installation costs, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience coordinating industrial equipment installations, construction projects, or similar field operations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and customer-facing projects.
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical installation practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer sites.
