Job summary

The State of Hawaii, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Hawaii Correctional Industries, seeks a supervisor for incarcerated work crews at Waiawa Correctional Facility in Honolulu. This exempt, full-time position oversees delivery, installation, moving services and related labor projects, coordinating daily assignments and ensuring safety and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least three years in delivery/warehousing or related fields,

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of a GED.
Three (3) years of experience in delivery, installation, moving services, warehousing, logistics, construction, facilities maintenance, furniture assembly, or related field.
Knowledge of delivery and installation practices, workplace safety, inventory control, customer service, and recordkeeping.
Ability to supervise and train incarcerated individuals, communicate effectively, perform physical work, prepare routine reports, and maintain security and accountability.

Responsibilities

Supervise and train incarcerated work crews performing delivery, installation, furniture assembly, moving, and labor service projects.
Coordinate daily assignments and ensure projects are completed safely and professionally.
Provide instruction on proper use of tools and equipment and maintain accountability of vehicles, tools and materials.
Document participant performance and serve as HCI's field representative promoting workforce readiness and customer service.
