Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a Utility Construction Inspector to support underground infrastructure and construction activities throughout New York City. You will inspect field conditions, identify utility conflicts, document construction, and ensure work aligns with drawings, permits, safety requirements, and standards.

This is a field-first role; you will spend most of your day in active construction environments around excavation, underground utilities, roadway work, and heavy

Qualifications

• Direct field experience involving construction inspection, heavy civil construction, and underground infrastructure.
• Familiarity with reading construction drawings, utility plans, and field documentation.
• Knowledge of utility locating, mark-out practices, and undocumented utilities.

Responsabilités

• Inspect underground construction, excavation, and utility work for compliance with drawings, permits, and safety requirements.
• Conduct field investigations of underground conflicts and differing field conditions.
• Perform site visits to evaluate conditions and progress before, during, and after construction.
• Identify and document conflicts between proposed construction and existing underground infrastructure.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, engineers, and field personnel to address field issues and determine next steps.
• Document excavation areas, utility locations, and field conditions with reports and photos.
