Job summary

The City of New York seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to join the Construction Management team. You will inspect roadways, sewers, pavements, and sidewalks, reporting to an Engineer-In-Charge or Resident Engineer for multiple infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include grading, paving, and maintaining manholes, while ensuring compliance with NYC standards and project budgets. Minimum qualifications include a mix of education and experience, with strong communication,

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent plus five years of full-time experience managing/inspecting construction projects with at least $300,000 value.
• One year of the above experience plus a bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture/construction management.
• One year of above experience plus a valid professional license (PE/RA/ landscape)
• Alternative path: five years education/experience total combining items 1 and 2 as described.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction, repair, and maintenance projects including roadways, sewers, pavements and sidewalks.
• Report to Engineer‑In‑Charge or Resident Engineer and conduct technical inspections.
• Assess grading, paving, repaving, sewer connections, retaining walls, and water/sewer/utility manholes.
• Ensure projects document time periods, descriptions, and budget allocations as required.
