Ogden City Economic Development Division is seeking a Construction Inspector to enforce right-of-way codes and Ogden City Engineering Standards. The role includes field inspections, plan reviews, and coordination with City departments to ensure construction compliance.

Responsibilities include operating DATA collection equipment, recording data, preparing reports, and maintaining safety practices. Two years of surveying/inspection experience and a Utah driver license are required or encouraged

Qualifikationen

• Two years of surveying or construction experience or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent; NICET certifications may be required for advancement.
• NICET certifications are preferred for higher levels of responsibility.

• Operate DATA collection survey equipment and set up field data gathering.
• Determine and implement appropriate traffic control measures.
• Maintain field notebook and record sketches, measurements, and site drawings.
• Inspect work and materials for compliance with codes, ordinances, and standards.
• Review project plans and specifications for code compliance.
• Coordinate inspection activities with City departments and private contractors.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain records.
• Participate in safety and risk management activities.
