Ogden City is seeking a Construction Inspector in the Public Services department, Engineering division. The role performs technical inspection and plans examining to enforce right of way codes and Ogden City standards, under supervision from the Lead Construction Inspector and City Engineer.

The position requires at least two years of surveying or construction experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. NICET certifications are a plus; a Utah driver license is required eventually.

Qualifikationen

• NICET certifications are preferred for higher levels of responsibility.

• Set up and operate surveying data collection equipment.
• Determine appropriate traffic control measures and implement.
• Record field data, notes, and site drawings accurately.
• Inspect work quality and materials for compliance with codes and standards.
• Examine plans for compliance with construction codes and regulations.
• Inspect structures for compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Check line, grade, size, elevation, and location of structures.
• Coordinate inspection activities with other city departments.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain records.
