Horrocks is hiring an Inspector to perform daily field inspections on construction projects in Utah, ensuring plans, codes, and safety standards are met. You will document findings, coordinate with managers and contractors, and verify materials and workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Relevant inspection certifications (e.g., ATSSA TC Supervisor, UDOT SRDT, CTP, ACI Grade I) or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Previous experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Monitor contractor activities for quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.
• Document and report inspection findings, including detailed daily reports, photos, and field notes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet required standards.
• Identify and communicate deficiencies or non-compliant work and track corrective actions.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and project status.
• Ensure proper implementation of traffic control, environmental controls, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, progress, and completed work for payment verification.
