Job summary
Ambipar is seeking a Field Inspector / Professional Engineer to support FEMA disaster recovery in Puerto Rico. You will conduct field inspections, document conditions, and validate scopes of work per FEMA requirements.
The role requires a PE license in Puerto Rico, a civil engineering degree, 3+ years of inspection experience, and willingness to travel across Puerto Rico. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Active PE license in Puerto Rico.
- 3+ years of engineering/construction inspection experience.
- Experience with FEMA Public Assistance or disaster recovery preferred.
- Willingness to travel throughout Puerto Rico.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct professional field inspections and site assessments.
- Evaluate infrastructure conditions within area of professional competence.
- Collect measurements, photographs, and technical data for FEMA projects.
- Prepare inspection reports with findings, recommendations, photographs, and data.
- Coordinate with applicants, contractors, engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
- Ensure inspection documentation complies with FEMA and Puerto Rico requirements.
