Job summary

Con Edison is seeking an entry-level Field Inspector in New York to oversee outside-plant construction activities. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing contractor work while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The Field Inspector will oversee sub-surface maintenance, address municipal and customer complaints, and support restoration, line locating, and site protection efforts in line with vendor programs and safety guidelines.

Job description

The Field Inspector is an entry level position in Construction responsible for the planning, organization and directing the activities of Contractors performing Outside-plant construction and in support of Projects/ Programs sponsored by Electric Operations, Gas Operations and Steam Operations. The oversight is associated with sub-surface structure maintenance, investigation and mitigation of Municipal complaints as well as customer complaints. Oversight also involves restoration, facility protection, sub-surface line locating, site protection of Company facilities, damage prevention and Electric Operations - Vendor Programs.

Ensure all work is done in strict compliance with all the applicable company specifications, standards and procedures as well as State and Municipal regulatory requirements.
