Job summary

H&S Loss Control Inspections, Inc is seeking Qualified Field Inspectors for Insurance Loss Control in the Des Moines area. Independent contractor roles with per-case pay and need for commercial line inspection experience. Travel within a ~50‑mile radius and online reporting are expected.

Responsibilities include scheduling, performing on-site inspections, taking photos, interviewing the insured, and submitting reports via Loss Control 360 with Rapid Sketch.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in commercial loss control inspections.
• Understanding of property, general liability, and workers' compensation.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable reporting online and uploading documents.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments electronically and reviews for inspection requirements.
• Schedules inspection appointment with the insured by phone, email, or text.
• Inspects the property for issues in utilities/building systems, common areas, maintenance, protections, and life safety; takes 20–35 photos.
• Interviews the insured for operations information and ages of building systems.
• Fills out inspection reports in Loss Control 360 with Rapid Sketch; returns reports electronically.
