Job summary

On Point is seeking a Project Manager to oversee daily field testing and inspection activities performed by technicians assigned to projects. You will schedule field staff, review daily reports and test data for accuracy, and manage project budgets.

You will communicate with contractors and owners, distribute reports promptly, and attend monthly and preconstruction meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Five years or greater progressive engineering/testing/inspection experience with a Bachelor degree.
• Seven years or greater progressive experience with an Associate degree.
• Twelve years or greater experience with no degree.
• NCDOT and ACI Field Technician Level I certification required.
• ICC Reinforced Concrete and Masonry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field testing/inspection activities by technicians assigned to projects.
• Schedule field staff to projects based on needs and capabilities.
• Review daily field reports and test data for accuracy; prepare monthly summaries.
• Manage project budgets.
• Communicate with contractors and owners; distribute reports and data to project teams promptly.
• Attend monthly and preconstruction meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Perform inspections and testing at project sites as necessary/qualified.
• Maintain contact with clients and network to develop new business.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Associate degree in engineering or related field

No degree with 12+ years of experience

Tools

NCDOT Field Technician Level I certification

ACI Field Technician Level I certification

ICC Reinforced Concrete certification

ICC Masonry certification
