Job summary

Pinnacle Engineering Group seeks an Inspector III to perform advanced field inspections, monitor contractor operations, and oversee condition assessment efforts for site development and transportation projects.

You will support on-site construction observation, field testing, and the preparation of reports, exhibits, calculations, and technical documentation using MS Office, Bluebeam, or PDF editing software.

Qualifications

5 to 10+ years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, roadway, utility, construction or related field.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Proficient understanding of construction methods, materials, and inspection procedures.
Knowledge of highway design standards (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD, DOT or local standards).

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections of site development and transportation-related projects under supervision.
Oversee inspection reports and condition assessments.
Monitor daily construction activities for adherence to plans and safety codes.
Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance.
Document field observations, measurements, and photographs.
Assist with training entry-level inspectors.
