Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to ensure safe operations and maintenance of pipeline assets around California. The role involves calibration, inspection, maintenance, and reporting per DOT/OSHA standards, with an emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will support installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and rotating equipment, manage spare parts, and collaborate with the Pipeline Integrity group on new technologies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Electrical and/or Instrumentation work experience in Oil & gas or related industry.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
• Physical requirements: climb, lift, bend, sit/stand for long periods, travel up to 15%.
• Willingness to work overtime and in harsh weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment.
• Calibrate and inspect measurement equipment; submit reports.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and repair minor electrical issues.
• Support pump teardown/rebuilds and new installations.
• Collaborate with Pipeline Integrity and Reliability on new technologies.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in safety plans.
• Supervise contract crews and train staff.
