Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, seeks an on-site HVAC technician to commission, troubleshoot, repair, and startup systems at commercial sites. You will work with blueprints, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts across healthcare, education, and office environments.

You will collaborate with team leaders, communicate with customers, and uphold safety standards while occasional overnight stays may be required. 5+ years HVAC experience and EPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
• Represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact and ensure satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location.
• Use cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
• Continually enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security of assets.
