Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Servicemen to support healthcare, manufacturing, education, and commercial real estate customers. In this field-based, truck-based union role, you will commission, service, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment while helping customers improve comfort and building efficiency.

You will work directly with customers to assess service needs, recommend solutions, and support dependable facility performance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Two years in residential, light or commercial mechanical equipment.
Two years of commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting in HVAC.
EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
Valid driver's license and good communication skills.
Adherence to Safety Program and UA union eligibility.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
Troubleshoot three-phase equipment, RTUs, heat pumps, fans and related systems.
Assist Journeymen with repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw, and scroll chillers.
Recommend solutions to improve comfort, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
Prepare labor and material quotes to support service work and decisions.
Support rotating weekend, night, and holiday on-call coverage.
Represent Johnson Controls professionally at customer sites.
