Job summary

Goodwill Houston seeks a Field Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to develop, implement, and manage the Safety Program, ensuring compliance and reducing risk across facilities.

You will partner with Loss Prevention, conduct training, audits, incident investigations, and lead safety initiatives with operations teams.

Bachelor’s preferred; 5+ years retail safety/LP; OSHA certifications; travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Five (5) years of Retail Safety or Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience in management of occupational safety and/or health and safety programs.
• OSHA 30-Hour in general industry or OSHA 40-Hour in HAZWOPER is preferred.
• Knowledge of fleet safety, OSHA, and DOT law.
• Proficiency in safety program reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and improve safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct audits/inspections, develop corrective/preventive actions, and communicate findings to leadership.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with Loss Prevention and other stakeholders to close open safety incidents timely.
• Develop and deliver safety-related training; review SOPs and tools.
• Support evolving organizational needs as directed by management.
