Job summary

ProPetro in Midland, TX is seeking an HSE Representative to lead on-site and field compliance inspections of DOT and HSE programs, train supervisors on reporting standards, and document noncompliance.

You will partner with crews, conduct hazard identifications, audits, and BBS/JSA processes, streamline incident reporting, and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations while maintaining PPE and safety equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ oilfield HSE experience required.
• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school will be considered in lieu of experience.
• Must have a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to be on call every other weekend.
• Must have general knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with contractors, vendors, and personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Can exercise independent judgment, professionalism, and discretion while performing duties.
• Good organization and time management skills, able to prioritize workload.
• Must be driven, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Flexible, can easily handle changes to HSE program requirements and organizational policies.
• Proficient working in Microsoft 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software.
• Able to safely perform duties and operate a vehicle during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance inspections (on-site and in the field) to ensure all relevant parties observe DOT and HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
• Regularly meet with crews before, during, and after a job.
• Coordinate hazard identifications, inspections, quarterly facility compliance audits, BBS, JSAs, and define mitigation steps.
• Monitor compliance with HSE policies by employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Document and report all noncompliance with HSE policies, SOPs, and regulations.
• Sign in and participate in all mandatory safety stand down meetings.
• Conduct Life Saving Rules Observations and stop-work when necessary; take corrective action.
• Assist with incident reporting and train supervisors on reporting standards.
• Train new employees and supervisors on HSE, DOT, and regulatory safety standards.
• Attend required training and certification courses (RSO, CDL, etc.).
• Maintain knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and regulations; inspect and distribute PPE.
• Monitor convoy location arrival and departure speed and spacing.
• Assist with rig-up and rig down when necessary.
• Safely transport personnel and equipment; drive company vehicle day/night.
