Job summary

Ironworks Welding Inc. in Dickinson, ND is seeking a full-time HSE Coordinator to lead safety programs, training, documentation, and compliance across active job sites and shop facilities.

The Coordinator will be the primary HSE contact for all personnel, work predominantly on site, perform daily safety observations, coordinate with the HSE Manager, and help keep records audit-ready while reinforcing a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walkthroughs, inspections, and hazard observations across job sites and shop facilities
• Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and escalate or correct promptly
• Assist with job hazard analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning on active projects and shop operations
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance across all field and shop personnel
• Spend majority of working time on site and shop floors to ensure HSE presence
• Coordinate with the HSE Manager on scheduling to maintain consistent on-site safety presence
• Support OSHA recordkeeping, audits, and regulatory correspondence
• Serve as HSE first responder for incident documentation and investigations
• Maintain incident files and track corrective actions to closure
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training
• Maintain training records and flag expirations for renewal
• Prepare safety submittals and pre-task plans under supervision
• Assist with subcontractor safety orientation documentation and pre-qualification
• Provide weekly data inputs for the HSE dashboard
• Foster a safety culture where Operations leadership owns safety outcomes
• Collaborate with Operations supervisors and Project Managers to reinforce safety requirements
