Job summary

Horwitz is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Fargo Polaris Forge project site, assisting the Safety Manager in enforcing safety policies.

You will help develop safety programs, conduct site inspections, and provide guidance to office and field personnel to maintain a safe working environment. This role emphasizes mentorship, policy enforcement, and proactive safety engagement.

Qualifications

• EHS-related undergraduate degree required or equivalent.
• Experience with HVAC service safety programs preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred but not required; within 10 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and enforcing the Safety Program and Site-Specific Safety Plans.
• Provide safety coaching and mentoring on Horwitz safety policies.
• Stay updated on state and federal safety rules applicable to the work.
• Assist with in-house safety training for site regulations.
• Contribute to new safety policies and procedures as needed.
• Support incident reporting, workers’ compensation, and liability claims.
• Participate in new hire orientations and weekly safety inspections.
• Help investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.
